Ein Festival der großen Momente – neue Erweiterung Evercold, EVANGELION-Crossover und Patch-Serie 7.5

Produzent und Direktor Naoki Yoshida hat die Fans nicht lange warten lassen und überraschte mit großen Ankündigungen. Die sechste Erweiterung für FINAL FANTASY XIV trägt den Titel Evercold und erscheint im Januar 2027. Für die millionenstarke Community verspricht Evercold ein völlig neues Kapitel in der epischen Story-Saga.

Darüber hinaus erwartet die Fans ein Crossover der besonderen Art: Mit EVANGELION – Ghosts of Desire hält ein Kult-Anime Einzug in FINAL FANTASY XIV. Der 1995 erstmals ausgestrahlte Anime hat sich längst zum Kultphänomen entwickelt, zu dem es bereits mehrere Animationsfilme und eine Comic-Adaption gibt. In FINAL FANTASY XIV bringt EVANGELION – Ghosts of Desire den Spieler*innen eine neue Allianz-Raid-Serie.

Doch die Fans müssen nicht bis Januar 2027 warten: Die Patch-Serie 7.5, die nun schrittweise veröffentlicht wird, bringt schon vor Evercold frischen Wind ins Spiel. Mit neuen Aufträgen, einer Kosmo-Erkundung, der Einführung des Bestienbändigers und vielen weiteren Inhalte dürfte die Community bis zum Launch der nächsten Erweiterung bestens versorgt sein.

Neue Konsolenversion von FINAL FANTASY XIV

SQUARE ENIX-Präsident und CEO Takashi Kiryu hat außerdem FINAL FANTASY XIV für Nintendo Switch™ 2 angekündigt. Der Launch ist für August 2026 geplant. Die neue Plattform öffnet die Tore nach Eorzea für noch mehr Abenteuer*innen: Die riesige Welt des MMORPGs lässt sich künftig somit auch auf Nintendos aktueller Konsole gemeinsam mit anderen Spieler*innen erkunden.

Über EVANGELION

A Festival of Milestone Moments – New Expansion Evercold, EVANGELION Crossover, and Patch Series 7.5

Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida wasted no time and surprised fans with major announcements. The sixth expansion for FINAL FANTASY XIV is titled Evercold and will launch in January 2027. For the millions-strong community, Evercold promises an entirely new chapter in the epic story saga.

Furthermore, fans can look forward to a crossover of a special kind: with EVANGELION – Ghosts of Desire, a cult anime is making its way into FINAL FANTASY XIV. First aired in 1995, the anime has grown into a cult phenomenon, having already spawned several animated films and a comic adaptation. In FINAL FANTASY XIV, EVANGELION – Ghosts of Desire will bring players a new Alliance Raid series.

But fans won’t have to wait until January 2027: The 7.5 patch series will be released in stages, bringing fresh content to the game well ahead of Evercold. With new main quests, a Cosmic Exploration, the introduction of the beastmaster job, and much more, the community should be more than well taken care of until the launch of the next expansion.
